An Enabling Environment for Defense Industry Collaboration and Innovation
A major focus of the MOSA Network will be bringing awareness for coming events of interest to the MOSA community, culminating in the annual MOSA Summit. We envision open integration and innovation challenge lab events at key customer locations nationally.
The MOSA Network is an evolving membership organization that supports multiple consortia focused on the various aspects of open systems architecture that comprise the MOSA community for defense and dual use technologies. This is intended to be inclusive of the many communitities and consortia across the MOSA Ecosystems.
We will continue to advocate for defense reforms that benefit the small and medium businesses that make modular and open components key to future complex systems. This will include congressional advocacy as well as service liason focused on component level competition.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth addressed the National War College on November 7, 2025, highlighting significant shifts in defense requirements and acquisition systems. He emphasized the importance of streamlining processes, adopting a Portfolio Acquisition Executive structure, prioritizing Modular Open Systems Approach decisions, and maintaining multiple supply sources for components.
